Art Curation and Exhibitions

MAE by Marina Abramovic was unveiled for the first time at London’s Moco Museum by TAEX on the 8th April 2025 .I was thrilled to help co curate the museums NFT room with the latest collection of digital NFTs with TAEX director Stefannie de Regel.

Marina Abramovic Element (MAE) — a visionary NFT project by Marina Abramovic. Central to this project is a digital avatar of Marina. This avatar serves as a vibrant extension of her creative vitality into the digital age, working beyond physical limitations.

Based on Legend, a fictional story written by Abramović and developed by TAEX derived from her philosophy and life journey, the collection features three exclusive NFT drops inspired by different facets of Abramović and her celebrated work: Art, Life, and Marina Abramović Method (MAM). Within each unique drop, token rarity influences the format of the never-before-seen artworks: “common” tokens feature still images, “Rare” tokens include looped animations, and “Epic” tokens feature looped animations that adapt to the Moon cycles in real-time. The artwork and the rarity of the token are revealed once collected.

Layered throughout Marina Abramović Element, the Transformation Crystals increase the project’s gamification and offer collectors a subsequent opportunity to generate (mint) limited edition 5D MAE Performance or 5D MAE Avatar video NFTs. Crystals — a crucial element of the artist’s practice that act as energetic guides — act as aids when participants reach the project’s culmination. Both 5D MAE NFTs and Crystals are derived from Abramović’s extraordinary philosophy; she states that to enter the fifth dimension, one’s body must transform: “You will be able to carry your body to the fourth dimension, but not to the fifth dimension because your body is too heavy. You will have a crystal in your body in the fifth dimension.

This project marks a pivotal evolution in Abramovic's career — blending her decades-long legacy with the possibilities of the digital frontier. For enquiries to purchase the MAE NFTs please contact katy_richfield@outlook.com

PAUL SMITH X CHIHULY

I had the great honour of curating the 2024 collaboration between Paul Smith and world-renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly in Paris.

The exhibition, held at Paul Smith’s Parisian headquarters, showcased an extraordinary collection of Chihuly’s hand-blown glass sculptures and paintings. The city’s cultural and fashion elite gathered for this private viewing with Leslie Chihuly and guests, celebrating the meeting of visionary design and contemporary art.

MUSÉE PICASSO X PAUL SMITH

In 2023, I had the pleasure of joining Sir Paul Smith and the Musée Picasso, Paris for the opening of

“Picasso Celebration: The Collection in a New Light”.

Curated in collaboration with the Paul Smith curatorial team and the Picasso Estate, the exhibition offered a fresh perspective on Picasso’s work — drawing out his daring use of colour and line, and placing it in striking dialogue with Sir Paul Smith’s iconic love of stripes and bold colour combinations.

The result was an imaginative re-framing of Picasso’s genius — one that allowed audiences to see his work as if for the very first time.

CHIHULY X PAUL SMITH Albemarle Street, London

In 2023, I had the privilege of bringing the world-renowned sculptor Dale Chihuly to the Paul Smith Albemarle Street Gallery.

Together with Sir Paul Smith, I curated a striking presentation of hand-blown glass sculptures and limited-edition prints, developed in collaboration with Leslie Chihuly and the Chihuly Studio, Seattle.

The exhibition was met with outstanding acclaim and became one of the most successful and best-selling shows ever hosted at Paul Smith. See more artworks here.
