Philip Colbert x Annabel’s
“Surrealism to Pop”
On Tuesday 13th October, Philip Colbert, Annabel’s and I kicked off Frieze Week in spectacular style with a Lobster Takeover of the iconic nightclub! 🦞
During our panel talk, I explored the exhibition we curated, “Surrealism to Pop”discussing the art historical influences woven throughout Philip’s work, from Salvador Dalí, Vincent van Gogh , Andy Warhol, Damien Hirst and Yayoi Kusama, to name just a few.
It was a real pleasure to collaborate with Philip and Annabel’s incredible curatorial team to bring this vision to life and create such a magical evening in one of London’s most iconic settings. Guests were treated to lobster and champagne served by Rare Champagne, the perfect pairing for a night of art, indulgence and a little pop surrealism.
And, of course, we may also have caused a little chaos around Berkeley Square with the Yellow Lobstermobile, stopping traffic on our way to PAD! 🦞💛
Huge thanks to Philip and the Annabel’s team who worked so hard to bring this one of a kind exhibition to London’s most iconic Mayfair location.
